Prayer for a Lost Mitten - Jean-François Lesage

Synopsis
An overworked French-speaking Quebecer, on his knees like many others in our time, sets off on a road trip to some of Quebec’s First Nations communities in search of meaning, healing and another way of reading the world.
He tries to see what has been done in his name, with the intuition that through these people, he will better understand what is happening to him.

Based on testimonies gathered in various First Nations and Inuit communities of Quebec, La cartomancie du territoire questions the relationship Quebecers have with native reserves and natural reserves, with the colonization of territory and thought.

Prayer for a Lost Mitten - Jean-François Lesage

Synopsis

BODIES OF WATER invites you to hold your breath and let yourself be transported and transformed by water in the company of curious individuals. As night falls, they take over a public swimming pool. These bodies of water, immersed in the aquatic mass, transgress the limits of their natural environment and metamorphose. They then engage in a contemporary dance that reveals them in a new light. The aquatic environment makes them supple and light, but also vulnerable and combative. This poetic mass, enveloping and suffocating, unites, separates and constitutes them.

BODIES OF WATER explores the transformation of human bodies as they interact with water – a fluid, adaptable medium that simultaneously presents resistance. It plunges you underwater for an immersive experience that unveils a rare and otherwise inaccessible contemporary dance.
