Doc at Risk
The project awarded the Doc à Risque is On the edge of oblivion by Oona Barrett and Léa Kratchanov.
This feature-length documentary project deals with the Rohingya identity and its survival after the genocide that forced over 700,000 members of this community to flee Myanmar to neighboring Bangladesh. Seven years after the exile, with instability in Myanmar reducing the possibility of return, nearly a million Rohingya remain trapped in the world’s largest refugee camp. The film shows how, even sheltered from the Burmese army, precarious living conditions in the camp and a lack of future prospects continue to threaten this forgotten minority.
